Core
The MBA degree requires 57 credits. Of those, 27 credits come from core courses in primary business functions. From the first day of classes, Broad MBA students have extensive exposure to core areas of business. The first-semester curriculum includes courses in finance, marketing, supply chain management, data analysis, leadership and teamwork and business presentations. International and ethical issues are woven throughout the course content.

*To ensure adequate exposure to international business issues, students are required to take one of the following elective courses; ACC 844 - Management Accounting in Global Enterprises; FI 860 - International Finance; MBA 841 - Studies in the Global Marketplace; MGT 804 - International Management; MSC 860 (formerly MBA 826) - International, Comparative, and Cross-Cultural Business; MSC 862 - Developing Global Markets; or other courses, as approved by the Associate Dean for MBA Programs or the Masters Program Committee. If one of the required elective courses is included in a concentration, the elective may count for both the concentration and the international requirement.
