Major Events

Fall

Welcome Back Picnic - All MBAs and their families are welcome to attend this beginning of the year MBAA sponsored picnic where all can enjoy good food, camaraderie, and the annual 1st-year vs. 2nd year softball game.

Football Tailgates - Come out to the pre-game tailgate gatherings to rub elbows with corporate recruiters, socialize with classmates, and reward yourself with some outdoor fun provided by the MBA Association. Then stay to cheer the Spartans on to victory at Spartan Stadium.

Mentoring Programs - The goal of the our Peer Mentoring Program is to provide incoming MBAs with a second year MBA mentor who can answer questions regarding curriculum, career paths, and other miscellaneous issues related to MBA student life. The goal of our International Coaching Program is to provide incoming International MBAs with a second year MBA coach who can help them not only acclimate to MBA life, but to life in the United States as well. Both programs include events where all participating students will have the opportunity to meet and mingle.

Broad Full-Time MBA Golf Classic - Yet another opportunity to spend some time with recruiters, all while enjoying an afternoon of golf. Whether you're playing for the first time, hoping to break 100, or have given up life as a tour pro to pursue your MBA, a good time is had all around.

International Potluck - Sample food brought in by your peers who represent countries all over the world. You might even witness an ethnic dance or two!

MBA Food Fight - Unlike those messy free-for-alls we all remember from our high school cafeterias, the MBA Food Fight is a civilized competition between the top MBA schools in the country to see which MBA program can raise the most food for charity.

Spring

Charity Auction - Bid on fabulous prizes such as home-cooked dinners with professors, luxury vacation getaways, autographed sports memorabilia, and much more at our annual charity auction benefiting a cause dear to our hearts.

Sport Outings - Experience the fun of traveling to watch the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers play. This provides an opportunity for international students to enjoy professional sports in the U.S., and for everyone to have a great time outside of East Lansing.

Sparty Gras - Sparty Gras is a tour of a few East Lansing public establishments that gives you the opportunity to mingle with those second year students who are about to become alumni, and enjoy the company of your fellow classmates and faculty members outside of the classroom.
