Accounting

In your first semester of the MBA program, you will take a financial accounting course designed for managers. This fast-paced course assumes some basic knowledge typical of an undergraduate accounting course.

The accounting requirement can be met by completing an accounting course with a grade of C or better (equivalent of a 2.0 on a 4.0 grade scale) from an accredited university or community college. Current Broad MBAs strongly recommend fulfilling pre-enrollment requirements by registering for an actual class at a college or university. The MBA Program Office supports this recommendation, as it is the best option to prepare for the fast-paced financial accounting course in the first semester of the Broad MBA.
